What a concept - a car guy forum with a, "I'm not a car guy anymore" strokefest thread. Of course, this is the same car guy forum with threads about ballsack trimming and the joys of pedicures. :D

I know a lot of folks that were good customers here (and also brought a lot of "clicks" to this site) that have left due to the heavy hand of certain moderators. We have had some that recognized their own bias on issues and tried to reign it in. Others have not. A little common sense would go a long way. If one is the recipient of multiple personal attacks...and there seems to be no moderation...eventually they will respond with similar. The same is true when something held relatively sacred is attacked...one's family, religion, country, etc. In my case, repeated attacks against the U.S. military as a group (while I have friends and relatives serving/dying)...it simply presses my buttons enough that I feel obligated to respond (with as much or more). If that gets me banned for life...so be it. The company has every right to manage the site as they see fit...but the folks that run to mommy irk me to no end. If two posters here engage in a bit of insult swapping...and neither is offended enough to cry to the management...why the heck would someone else do so? It reminds me of the sixth grade tattletale. It seems one would at least make sure their own feces didn't smell first.

Sounds like "management" recognizes the real problem.

I took my '89 out today for the first time in a few months...and no doubt, I am a "car guy". That doesn't necessarily mean that I would not let you come over and change my oil while I watched TV...just sayin.

Rawnee doesn't have a mean bone on his body. He is genuinely funny. I could care less if he is crazy or disagrees with me on every topic.

He is banned from PARF...but for some strange reason allowed to roam free with the bluehairs in OT. Strangest thing I have ever seen here. I have no idea the reason why.

I got a bit wound up here...and should probably slink back to PARF where they intentionally post misinformation that needs correcting (folks here are just clueless). I am beginning to think they (in PARF) just like the spanking. How they run this little bit of internet is none of my business.

I just wanted to add my two cents on the stock market moves...as I have luckily nailed it in the recent past...and was frustrated that I was unable to post good advice (when I pulled out my money a month ago)...but no one would have listened anyways. I came back in at a good time (I think) and made a lot of what I lost back. Hopefully it continues...but I am ready to act quickly if not. I think/hope I will actually come out better than before this crisis.

Appreciate the brotherly luv, FintIsStoned ***forum butt pinch***, and as far as the PARF ban(d) goes, I was punished, along with Dean and a couple others, for our rampant flinging of feces (all in good fun to me, but as you know, many forum members do not share my refined and sophisticated sense of humor :D) - it was a temporary punishment, with mine being the longest duration, since I was often the instigator of the slangin'. BUT, before the banning moderator (Chris@PelicanParts - a very easygoing guy, BTW) removed the paddle from my glutes, he apparently moved on from his Pelican duties, so I have been hanging in limbo from my gonadulars for almost two years now. Pooooooor me!!!!!!! :D

I have not seen Dean (Beygon) or Tervuren around for months...after seeing them daily here for years. I guess maybe they are/were banned too.

Mebbe I'll catch the fall tour of the PARF band. It'll give Fint & Runnie time to practice their "chops" and learn some new songs...like my old fav...

The market is...what it is. As long as I have more money in a couple of years than I have today...I will be relatively happy. It is not like I really need any of it. Our needs are small...and we have been blessed. I play the market just for fun.

A couple of months ago I saw an OT post of Dean's with the "banned" wording under his username, and I've also noticed not seeing Terv posting, but have not seen an old post of his showing he is banned (would be surpriesed about that, since he mostly steered clear of the shiit slinging, unlike Dean who was always in the center of any fecal storm. :)).

I predicted a train wreck the minute I found out about the new sheriff in town and took a powder for a month or two to stay out of it, much better that way.
Nothing personal, I just figured it would end the way it did and didn't want to get any on me.


Back to the topic of buying stocks:
Fidelity sux.
Sux bad.
Nothing but parasites looking for a percentage. I would NOT recommend using fidelity.

I am transitioning seven different accounts to a different house and of course, fidelity is trying to find ways to charge me extra fees on the way out the door.

Heck...I was gone a month...and was not missed. In fact, apparently just the opposite. Oh well, I sure brought havoc to another site...that was without moderation...except a bunch of old women that were into calling people that did not believe in socialism "racists" and "white supremist". After posting here for years, their tactics did not work very well on me.

With oil at an 18 year low, under $20/barrel, I have an order in for USO when the market opens tomorrow.
This is short term. I’ll have a sell order in to sell when I’ve made 20%.
Maybe I’ll use the money to buy a project car and get my Car Guy Card back :)
