6-mile dog walk. Everyone is so nice. 1 a-hole

Man. Everyone out walking. Super nice. We give each other a wide berth, and everyone asking how each other are doing. Odd almost. Even the people across the street will wave. Very Mayberry.

One d-head did goose his diesel rig and totally tried to smoke me out in a cloud of soot. Thankfully the Wind was in my favor. I didn’t even flip him off. He was pulling out of a Micky-D drive thru. Hope he gets heart burn.

I really wish surf fishing was allowed today. The tide is decent.

I’ve also noticed that people seem really friendly, and are very much out and about for walks. I think people miss people.

Just came back from a 2 mile walk with the dogs. One car came by and the driver waved. It’s VERY quiet here.

What do you think is going to happen to new car pricing?

This summer?

My wife and I have similar vintage cars. We both could use some upgrading. I defer to her. Her Subaru guzzles super unleaded.

She is thinking some Toyota hybrid.

Me? Another Tacoma for sure, but I’m cool with a used one. I imagine there will be lots of fire-sales going on unfortunately for people. I’ll get a 1-2 year old Tacoma 4x4 and drive it forever. My current Tacoma is still very good and reliable, I’m in no hurry. I bet mine will go to a quarter million miles easy. (@180,000 now)

I think new car pricing will tank in a couple months. When this country remains shut down for another month or two, no one will want to buy a car. No need because we're all quarantined. No money, if they've been unemployed. People aren't going to be buying big ticket items like a car or real estate. In the meantime, I still see a lot of cars here in LA with temporary tags. They must have been purchased right before this all hit.

Supposedly March new car sales took a 50%+ hit, and April is expected to be worse. But, they also aren’t building any new cars, so that’s probably helping to better balance supply and demand. Pretty much all of the car companies are offering finance incentives and rebates already, I bet they ratchet up the deals in April to try and move inventory. Also I suspect there will be a lot of people eventually unloading extra cars, boats, RVs, etc to get some cash. Probably deals to be had if you’re patient.

This is a car forum. We'd rather talk about cars than nice people on your walk.

Some details on the sweet diesel that rolled coal on you would be nice.

We bought a Hybrid Rav4 just before the feces hit the ventilator. Love it so far, suspect we'd get a much better deal now.

Any trouble filling the tank completely? That’s on my wife’s “top of list”

I haven't been out on any walks in public places, but most folks are just grateful to see other human beings, so they are in a good mood to escape their house arrest.

I seem to have every idiot in the county with no mufflers, screaming by my house in their pickup trucks....many of them blowing black smoke, and several of waving confederate flags.

I took the 911 out today and drove like an old lady because there were so many bicycles on the roads and people walking. Waited to pass etc. and one a-hole on a bike going the other way spit at me. WTF, he was lucky i am in good mood since it is mid 60's here and I was driving the Porsche.

I know all of the OEM's I work with are currently shut down set to open the 2nd week of April as of now, so I agree about the inventory comments.

Today. Spit can be considered a lethal weapon.
