G'day!
|
I dated a girl when I was living in Naples back in the early 90's. She was an eye doctor and we met when I had a branch scratch one of my eyes while I was doing some gardening work and went to Eye Doctors of Florida for treatment, where she worked.
She knew I was a music person and wanted to turn me onto some music she liked. Made some cassette tapes for me - one of which was Vonda Shepard. She had 2 horses stabled in Ft Myers where she lived. She was very cool!

I was on an Alexander Payne kick lately and watching "The Holdovers" last night. Takes place in 1970 and this song is featured a few times in the soundtrack.
Has kind of a Cat Stevens/Paul Simon/Jim Croce vibe....

Billy Squier, The Stroke or Too Much Time On My Hands, by Styx, or something along those lines.
