You know, I thought at first you were just posting something nice and positive about people helping each other out. But as usual you never fail to disappoint. The absolute worst thing about social media is giving people with no voice the mistaken perspective that their opinion matters. As someone else who is insignificant I’ll bite my tongue and move onto more positive things, rather than the pissing contest that this thread will inevitably devolve into.

No it was just something nice Matt. I can't control your self-induced narrative.

As a christian, my passion in life is make the lives of those around me better, actively, whether friends or family or strangers. All the same to me. That's how I see the world, I'm keenly attuned to it. People that do things like that, making a positive difference in other people's lives resonates and people that harm others are discordant to me. Nothing more. I'm sorry you see things so negatively.

It is wonderful the acts of kindness and generosity that have been an integral part of the virus and I disagree that people don't change in a crisis. Sure, most go back to their own ways but kindness can be learned and then reflected if it's done enough, just the same as lifting weights, getting stronger.

Seeing this all really rejuvenates me and my thirst for a better, stronger more united country. I think we can do it together.

^^^ I know it's difficult to comprehend but there are at three people on this very thread that fit into my philosophy, Matt is even one of them. Some 15 years ago he needed a dash trim piece for his longhood, I think he placed a WTB ad in Classifieds, not sure now. I had plenty to spare to so I just sent one to him. Yes, it's a tiny thing, but that's the best part of living the philosophy, always looking for opportunities, big and small. When you look, sometimes you get lucky and get to do something big. That's fun. That's living. It's a little addictive.

Another typical OT thread full of virtue-signaling and judging strangers. Sheesh.

I had similar thoughts when I was directed to sign up for the draft. Turns out the line wasn’t blurry at all. It was very clear cut. You did what you were told or you went to jail. People protested that at the time too, they were called unpatriotic, selfish, communists, etc. it’s Deja Vu all over again.

Shaun, I don’t know if I ever thanked you for offering to send that air deflection plate for my 911. I was greatly relieved when you said you had one. Lucky I found the lost one and got back to you before you shipped it. Thanks buddy.

Yes Patrick, you did, thank you, and believe it or not, I still have to look at the lighting emails you sent me. The camera has become a bit of an albatross in terms of learning to shoot manually. Just not enough time. Hoping that once the two new techs are fully trained, I can go back to it.

Also want to say there is one person on this thread that I have been the recipient of his similar life philosophy and it's a friendship that started with a loaned book that I cherish to this day.

We all make the world we want to live in. It doesn't just happen, we have to create it and every action, big and small, counts.

So in this case, we want the disease to die, and not our fellow men.

Appreciative then and now, there’s a reason why I tried to buy you a beer when I was in Boston. But you can’t simultaneously slam the perspective of someone else while also telling them what a great guy you are.
