Not much to add, other than when I was 21 years old, I bought a ratty '69 Corvette with the 350 hp 350 and close-ratio 4-speed.

Looking back at the way I used and abused that car, I now understand why most insurance companies refused to insure a 21 year old with a Corvette.

C3 do it, go full Greenwood on it. (with Sterling rims and GY or Avon slicks preferable)

I like the C4 in race trim too.

No love for the C3. Even Larry Shinoda's Mako Shark II didn't move me. I'm sure it was a milestone but somethings are appreciated more by others. Whatever blows your dress up.

I always liked the look of the 1982. When I was a greenhorn, and was still washing cars, and changing oil at the dealership, they took one of these on trade . Exactly like this one . It needed a clutch,2nd gear synchros, and was a little bit beat up . It sat in our used car dept for months , and I drooled over it every day .
I made $ 4.35 an hour , and the used car manager got me approved for a loan on it for around 6 grand .
I was eating balogney sandwiches 3 meals a day, and already working 2 + jobs, but I really wanted it .
My wiser side won out, and I kept on paying my rent instead .

I always liked the 68-74 gauge cluster. I was thinking of buying a C3 or C4 when I was looking to buy.
I like the C4 as well except for the gauge cluster.
Then an 07 C6 popped up cheaper than any other car of the same year. Only flaw was it was a high miler with road rash from the tires. I jumped on it and it's worked out o/k.
Funny thing every time I go to a cruise night I always check out the C3's

I'd drive it and see how much the mods improved it.

Those first coupla year CAFE cars were pigs.

I've driven a few from before and after, night and day.
