I need someone to fix my HP 11C
|
What's wrong with your 11C?
I actually do have quite a collection of slide rules and antique drafting instruments and I know how to use them. Even have a mechanical curve integrator in a box somewhere. I had a job TA'ing drafting-board descriptive geometry in college (in the '90's no less). |
It does not turn on.

Open it up and look for corrosion.
I let my wife use my 11C ... until I found it in our parking lot, in the rain... possibly driven over. :-/ Gold traces... the battery contacts are the likely problem. mine is still going strong. Here is a pick of the 15C PCBA http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1600407552.jpg |
The trusty 11C purchased in the early 80s and "well-used". There are still traces of a Sharpie marker above the programmable A, B, C, D, E keys - don't recall what I had programmed into those keys. I bought new rubber feet off eBay a few years ago because one had fallen off. Serial #2211A04303.
