I read an article the other day explaining how coyotes were becoming more common in urban areas. Their presence in parks and golf courses was expected to reduce the tendency of geese to loiter and litter.

Old-school adding machine w/side cover removed. Could've likely inspired the term "mechanical nightmare".

I just noticed that. I've never heard of Chocolate Lucky Charms. I must obtain some.

On the same topic, we have an Irish aisle in the local market...http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1621117827.jpg

Thank you for caring about my relationship with God. Lets meet after church (mine or yours) and we can talk about it. I never claimed to be perfect. I am tempted to slap people just like everyone else. Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven by God when they yield to the temptations. Our responsibility is to repent, and try to do better. The cool part is that God set the rules and He said if I believe in Jesus Christ, my sins are forgiven. I don't use that as a license to sin but I am comforted that He forgives me even when I screw up. I do find it humorous that atheist are quick to tell me how I should behave as a Christian (not referring to you).

Side note: There is a humorous (but not scriptural) saying that with some people "if you slapped them God would say 'amen' ".

I think that God has a sense of humor. Something a lot of Christians dont seem to believe. I think that God would laugh his ass off about there being too many Christians and not enough Lions. If he's omnipotent, jokes truly dont offend him. He'd just say.. good one...

People taking faith too seriously leads to hate and violence. Thats part of the reason why I left the Catholic church as a teen. I consider myself agnostic but like a lot of Buddhist ideas. (Are you aware your avatar logo is also a Dharma wheel?)

Perhaps try being a bit open minded and come to Portland sometime? Beer is on me. We have a lot of really awesome places and things that Fox News doesnt mention for a reason.

obligatory Buddy Christ. Peace..

Por_sha911 05-15-2021 04:28 PM

If I am ever in Portland I will take up your offer for a beer but it will be root beer. Haven't had one drop of alcohol since 1982. I'd love to talk with you about many things. I was raised Catholic as well and can understand why that could be a bad foundation for having a relationship with God. I'd be happy to listen to your opinions as well as share my observations of the Bible and history.

God has to have a sense of humor. There are all kinds of humorous things in the Bible. Even accounts of smack talk by God's anointed people. You are right in the idea that Christians don't have to defend God. He's big enough to handle things Himself. That said, I will stand by believing that it is at the very least in poor taste to promote killing Christians for entertainment. Just like we shouldn't talk of killing Jews, Blacks, Asians, or people of differing gender opinions. Try joking about gas chambers in Israel or lynchings in a black community and see if they find the humor in it.

BTW, not all 8 spoke wheels are Buddhist any more than all crosses are Christian. If Buddha has a copyright on the design I think he should bring it to the Bruins office and discuss it.

Gents,

Thank you both. No BS - it's refreshing thing to see opposing viewpoints become a breaking of bread rather than degrade who's the bigger poopy head.
