I'm from FL and was a kid in the 70s. I vaguely remember watching wrestling with my dad, and I very clearly remember that as a 4 year old, I thought Dusty Rhodes was the MAN and his elbow drop was awesome!

TV with remote. Yes, the remote is opening the box surrounded by Tonka toys.

What I wouldn't give to have those tonka toys now for my grandsons.

Yes, the remote worked for the TV and a little later, was also able to fetch beer from the fridge.

In the very early 60's the neighbour had just got a TV so I went to look. Diagonal lines moving across the screen and a crackling noise. I thought "yes, it's pretty cool, but I don't know what all the fuss is about."

Do you remember these? If you used the fine tune knob just right, you could catch the Playboy Channel

As a kid, my dad took me to see wrestling twice. One time was midgets. It was hillarious. The other time was to see Paul Anderson wrestle. That was mind blowing. He was something like 5'9" and built like a fire hydrant. He picked huge wrestlers up and threw them across the ring. He got pissed at one guy and bear hugged him until he fainted. He didn't wrestle too long. Supposedly he didn't like it. He was so powerful, the professional wrestlers couldn't do anything with him.
