Bit odd.. cause cured Epoxy isn't all that light weight on it's own..it's pretty dense, it's not like it's made up of air.. it's a glue not some kind of air filled material..

You have to Take off the weight of 1 pound of Steel + the weight of the equivalent mass of epoxy used to fill the hole.

1 pound of steel is 1496 cubic inches
+1/7th of that give or take.


So about a full square foot of steel to gain 1 pound!!

It was not epoxy, it was just silicon glue. We were all stunned they were bothering to do it, but it was done in front of our eyes.

On the Porsche Spider, sorry could not get pic to post. A good number of year ago Patrick Long wrote about the experience of driving that car. I’m not all surprised after having read that interview in Panamera about the extreams of weight saving efforts. To paraphrase a factor Porsche driver, that car could make you vomit from motion sickness it could corner so fast.....

I had a work colleague years ago, that was getting a divorce and started dating a girl that worked in our building. He told us a funny story once. I can't imagine why, but he said that it was a PSA. Apparently, he and his girl were curious about the whole cock-ring thing, but they didn't have one, so they decided to use a rubber band. He went into a long, hilarious story about how and why that's a bad thing. It involved quite a bit of discomfort, and apparently, once things swelled up, was EXTREMELY hard to remove.
