My aunt fell off a ski lift in the 60s when she was little. Got really lucky and landed on snow but there was rocks all around.

The Texas Quote of the Day:
"One day, I reviewed my life as a cowboy from every angle and came to the conclusion that all I had gained was experience, and I could not turn that into cash, so I decided I had enough of it, and made up my mind to go home, get married and settle down to farming."

Here is the huge 1918 Liberty V12 aircraft engine that launched the Lincoln Motor Company. On the left is Henry Leland with the company officers and the 6,500th engine built. It's advanced engine design used overhead cams, aluminum crankcase, liquid cooling, 45 degree angle, and 1,649 cubic inches. After WWI was over he began building the Lincoln Automobile.

Kind of a narrow passage to get from the top of the first stairs to the base of the next step.

Gate doesn't block anything. Handrail doesn't continue to the corner o stairs. Greater than 4" gaps for kids to slip through. No downspouts.

The gate is open, it swings around to block the second flight where it closes against the pole visible. The hand rail stops at that point to let you somehow crawl from the lower stairs to the next deck without bumping you head on the next flight of stairs.
