We had a bunch of amputees on "Pearl Harbor" with Stan Winston and his crew applying severed limbs, burns and wounds when we did the scene of the "walking wounded" after the bombing. Speaking with them, the majority of limb losses were due to motorcycle accidents.

Yes, that would probably be the right KNIPEX pliers for pipelines - if they existed
The KNIPEX Cobra® QuickSet 87 21 250, inserted into the photo by the AR function of our smartphone app for Android and iOS. Of course, the quickset is not over a meter tall, but "only" 250 mm long. Either way, it is an impressive pair of water pump pliers: it automatically adapts to all gripping widths up to 50 mm, simply by pushing it shut! And like all our water pump pliers, it bites mercilessly into the pipe with its self-clamping effect.

Waaaaay back in time I clearly recall a NY paper (maybe the Post) running this pic with the caption "the masked man and his faithful Indian companion". I can't find the original anywhere. Maybe it's been scrubbed.

Is that bad metalwork or did I not know Ghias were fiberglass?!

Looks like the Ritz Carlton compared to basic training accommodations at Ft Bragg in 1967. The Air Force would have been a far better choice than the Army (if I had a choice!) No picture available …cameras hadn’t been invented yet. They said if the barracks caught fire it would be gone in 10 minutes.

Certainly not great tires.

No, Ghias have steel bodies, not fiberglass. Cheesy repair job there...

This is true! When I put the mower back together This spring, I had a bolt left over.I worried about it until I remembered the bolt had secured a heat shield which had fallen off some years ago, but I welded in place when I had the machine stripped down in the fall.

We never had a TV with a remote quite that archaic, but we did have a remote that if you opened a can of beer or soda or you sneezed, the TV would change channels due to the sound.

And what the hell is the bottom right corner?
