WHat I was able to find for the W125 (not necessarily the streamlined record version)

front tires 5.25×17
rear tires 7.00×19

Although the W 125 served its fast purpose for one year only, it did so with great variability. It could precisely be adjusted to the respective racetrack by means of different transmissions, tank volumes and petrol cocktails, carburettors, superchargers, rim and tire sizes, tire treads and even exterior dimensions. Engine power, torque, top speed and the speeds achieved in the individual gears varied accordingly. As many as eight different transmission ratios were available, for instance, plus two rear-wheel sizes (7.00-19 and 7.00-22).

Gotta love the camber on those front tires

Seeing this has reminded me to check out some W.C. Fields movies. I love his sense of humor. He was a very accomplished juggler.

Not ranked in the top 10, but he made one movie with Mae West.

946 – Type code for 924S – launched in 1986

I owned two - a 88 that I ended up selling to a guy in Colorado for a 944spec racer. Flat towed it all the way there. Also a 87 non-sunroof that I ended up trading to a guy for some engine work.

This is a 924s SE.

Man, you made me miss my 924S. The car was, for me, the perfect balance of comfort, handling, roadability over all surfaces and utility. 30 years ago.

Those were known as "phone dials". I think you are absolutely right. That car, in black, as was mine, really needs the contrast of the aluminum.

Love phone dials especially on 928s. I’m probably considered weird as well, but that has nothing to do with my wheel preferences.

This is wild. According to some weather data (this blends a bunch of model data together), Oklahoma may be the wettest place in the nation during the first 10 days of June.
While rain is likely for much of America, the highest values for rain are centered over a good portion of Oklahoma. The 2nd wettest place in the nation, South Florida.
When you're surpassing Florida in rain, you know that's a big deal !

We received 7 inches of rain here in May, and 22.75 inches for far this year. No one except the people living in low lying areas and along rivers and creeks is complaining.

I used to say he was once older than me to annoy me. (Now I wish it was true). Anyway, he said this was from when he was older. I asked if that was him standing over me. He said "I still do."

When we were kids, I used to wake up every morning with paperback books all over me. I figured, I was reaching for the books in the bookcase between my brothers bed and my bed, in my dreams.

It was years later, when we were adults, that he told me he would get a paperback book and throw it at me, when I was wheezing, because of asthma! He kept throwing until I stopped! 😂

We got 5" here, and this year is feeling kind of droughty. A place ~20 miles away got 4" one day last week (we only got 2.25" that day). This has been the best month for rain so far this year.

LOL about the switch. I don't do the physical installation of stuff in data centers, but switches are part of my job. I used to work with a guy that said "there's no such thing as 'temporary'," and he was absolutely correct. I've seen lots of temporary that ended up being permanent for many years whether it be installation, hardware models, crappy cabling, weird configuration, whatever...

I believe this was supposed to be the bridge from Corpus Christi to Padre Island a few years back.

They recently, mostly finished widening a portion of I10 just west of Brookshire, Texas, and this is the speedlimit sign that has been installed for months now (there are two, one for the westbound lanes and another for the eastbound lanes).
I think that means that the speed limit is unlimited, right?

I don't know what happened exactly because I was 8, but I do remember that they let the smoke out and mom got a new mixer.

I had no idea that the power was different North/South though. That seems really odd.

A U.S. Marine approaches a Japanese soldier on Iwo Jima, March 16, 1945.
The Japanese soldier was buried for 1 1/2 days in this shell hole, ready with a live grenade inches away from his hand. The Marines feared he might be further booby trapped after knocking the grenade away from him. Promising no resistance, the soldier was removed from the hole and taken prisoner.
