Nord in Norway, is one of Norway's longest mountain stairs. It has around 4,000 steps, and takes you up to Øyfjellet, 818 meters above sea level. The stairs are wide, but the steps are relatively high and the walk quite long. There are more seats on the way up. From the top you have lovely views in all directions, and over Lake Mosjøen. Carus Olcott was 23. His ship was returning from Europe where the 2nd Infantry Division had fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
