Mike Patey's creation. Started as a Carbon Cub frame, carbon fiber fuselage, "off road" suspension which is height adjustable, big motor, solar panels and batteries in the wings so the electric motorcycles can be recharged. Extending leading surfaces on the wings for enhanced low speed capability. Amazing build. There is a full series of videos on his website if you haven't already been down that rabbit hole. ;) Best Les |

pretty similar to the years in this stack. I think it was something like '64-75 for the year books. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/1-oAA...Ac/s-l1200.jpg https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/jUIAA...xi/s-l1200.jpg I would kind of like to have them again. I find it interesting to see how knowledge has changed over time. And I suspect the grandsons would probably even leaf through them. |

Another brand new word was Hippie. The definition was "one who is hip" and that did not help me one iota. We were Montgomery Alabama at the time, and there were no hippies around. In 1969 we moved to Hawaii again. On the road trip to California we spent a few nights as some friends that lived in San Fransisco, and they took us through Haight-Ashbury. Hippies were everywhere. We stopped and I bought a Doors poster at a poster shop. It was tossed long ago, but likely would have been valuable if in good shape now. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1747079547.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1747079547.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1747079547.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1747079547.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1747079547.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1747079547.jpg |

But I read all of the World Books A-Z and most of those years too :). Then I discovered Playboy magazine ... had better articles :D |
Technically, what I had was a Sony WM-7 which was, IMO, the premium model including auto-reverse and very sleek.

I think many of these are the same models that I had, but it came in a case with a glass front and glass top (because it also came with a turntable). http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1747088425.jpg No Blockbuster rentals? How? That was how the US watched movies for 10-20 years. |

I needed to drill a hole in my attic at the far end of the house for a phone line. I did not own enough extension cords to get there. And it was decades before I had a battery powered drill. It worked great. |
