That's a rare sight these days - looks great!

My dad bought one new. He liked it, and loved the gas heater. In the winter, crank up the heater and the car was warm and defrosted when he got in.

Very nice looking.
My brother had one...I think the same color. It was in the mid 70's. He parked it one day and returned to find it smoking. Tried to put it out...it burn't up! |
That looks like a Type III motor - not a Type IV

always a funky looking vehicle (in a good way)
that looks to be the nicest example I've seen they will be prime "antiques" for an EV conversion... |
I dated a woman in college that drove a yellow 411.
We met when I was chasing the baseball dream during the summer in Charleston, SC. She went to Williams College in Mass and drove the 411 up. I met her there in early winter. I flew in. It of course snowed. I insisted on driving to Albany to catch the plane back even though the sum total of my experience driving in snow was, shall we say, scant. I am not sure of the sequence of events, but the 411 ended up doing perhaps the perfect 360 near 720 without hitting a thing, coming to rest on my damaged laurels. Sheepishly, I made it to Albany still at the helm. Great car. Really great car for the time. |
