Rechargeable lawnmower..
 

Does anybody have one of these that they recommend? Looking for the push type that battery life will enable it to cut up to one third of an acre.

I went to a local chainsaw, power equipment outlet and all the power mowers were sold out but there were lots of rechargables left! It has been a very wet summer here and it has taken its toll on lawnmowers.

Your thoughts would be appreciated....

These are supposed to be pretty good. I use a gas power 22" Toro myself, so no experience with these.

Have the ego with the bigger battery as well as the string trimmer.

I'm never going back to infernal combustion. They work about 90% as well as good gas equipment but are 1000% more convenient and pleasant to use. Sorta same thing as air impact vs new gen rechargeable.

Looks very similar to the Tesla Truck. Must've had the same designer........

I have moved all routine tasks over to battery, just better in every way given certain parameters.

I mow over ten acres of grass so batteries are not an option:D

I do have a battery powered chain saw for easy clean up, but kept the beasts...

Spec your needs (how you like to cut, bags or no bags, total area to be cut) and if a battery powered mower fits, give it a try.

I just bought a battery powered pressure washer that may be the coolest thing I have ever owned. Game changer.

why not just a simple electric with a cable... much cheaper, battery will never die..
have used mine for 9 years now.. still goes strong on it's first charge :D

We have an electric Toro. It’s only 3 months in but cuts well and we get by on a full charge but my lot is less than a quarter acre. Earlier in the growing season it would just barely get through. An extra battery would do the trick but they’re pricey relatively speaking.

I have one - it's great if you lawn is down 20-30 ft. of steps. No carrying gas & no trying to service a gas mower all the time (more up & down hill). No hassles with a cable either.

Do NOT buy a Ryobi - I had to go thru 2 of them to get one that partially works.

Cons. Reports likely has a test report on them.

There are more brands now than when I bought mine, and Stihl is moving into the "electric power tool space" so...

I have a small lawn and use the Self propelled EGO. Highly recommend it. Get big batteries and the self propelled.

I sae a neighbor mowing with one while out for a bike ride, thought was interesting that he was wearing hearing protection.

I have a cheap Sunjoe for my courtyard, amazing little machine for around $125. Only about a half hour battery life, but its ideal as a trim/touchup thing. If I didn't have a bunch of echo and stihl gas stuff, I'd be all electric except for the zero turn. So much easier.

Gonna need one hell of a extension cord for 1/3 acre.

We have a Ryobi lawnmower and weedeater that are battery powered. Not sure about 1/3 of an acre but I've been impressed with the battery. You can get a second battery if one doesn't get it done.

My battery recharge time is far too long to use one of those.

I recharge my mower with gasoline...

I have the Ego self propelled, it is amazing. I have a fairly large lot for the city. 60x270', I can do both front and back on one charge. It stores neatly away, no mess, not nearly as loud. It's sturdy and well built. I am impressed. I now have zero gas yard tools, trimmer, edger, chain saw are all ego now.

Ok - now that made me laugh....
