Love the 80’s. Music, movies, 911’s, 928, 944 and the 924. I like the more pop stuff but certainly a lot of more edgy stuff came from the period.

That is actually a very good song. It was produced by Quincy Jones . A stand up line up of musicians who played on that song including the Sea Wind horns. The video does nothing for me IMO

Worst decade for ugly cars Chevy citations, big hair, piles of cocaine, really bad music, men piercing their ears and wearing jordache jeans.

Still hideous? No so long ago these were considered ugly... Not so much now.

70s music was great until about 1973 - 74. Disco and new wave music came on strong. That's just about the time, I moved away from rock n roll. I like Robert Palmer and some Blondie stuff but their videos are what everyone remembers - Some of those videos are/were ground breaking.

Good music from the 80s: Janes Addiction, Guns and Roses, Beastie Boys, The Cult, Dwight Yoakam, INXS, Lenny Kravitz, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica, The Pixies, REM, Steve Ray Vaughan, U2, Brian Setzer, Men at Work, Sonic Youth, Nirvana (Bleach was 1989), Bad Brains, Living Colour, Jesus and Mary Chain, Social Distortion...

That reminds me of a story. About 5ish years ago, there was a guy at work that was into Belinda Carlisle and the GoGos. Belinda and/or the GoGos were coming to the area in concert, and the guy was going. In the days after the concert, I went into the men's room, and out of one of the stalls, I hear this guy crooning away on one of their slow ballady songs at practically full volume. I had to chuckle. He had his ear buds in with the volume cranked, so he didn't realize that he was singing or didn't realize how loudly he was singing. We all got a good chuckle. He was pretty mortified.

I was a fan of these guys after a buddy played me their Only a Lad album back in 1983. Saw them in NYC in '86 or '87. Can't remember the venue or exact date, but it was one of my favorites.
