A "whitelist" is those you explicitly allow; a "blacklist" is those you explicitly deny. Not all of those items are "trackers" but they are connections that your browser is trying to make while surfing BAT; what each of those sites is, and threat it may or may not present, is beyond the scope of this thread.

The internet is a creepy place.

Install a tracker-tracking tool and watch what's being captured and to whom it's being sent, and you will never look at websites or mobile phones the same ever again. Media sites seem to be the worst for

I'm reviving this thread as I'm currently dealing with this two companies. 1. Cars and Bits - Complete refusal to allow me to list my car, they demand that it goes as " Reserve" with stupid price. Far less that what the current market is offering. 2. BAT - Pretty much the same business model, they offer 28k more for the reserve and again, will not post the car outside this. So, in my opinion, this platforms are not for me, the question now is Where do I post my car for sale?

I sold mine on FB Marketplace. I joined the Porsche 911 For Sale and Porsche 911 Buy and Sell group and posted on Marketplace and those two groups.

Don't be afraid to "write a book" when describing your car. The more information you provide, the more people will know about your car. My ad was, what I considered, ridiculously long and thorough. People really seemed to like my ad and potential buyers commented on how much they appreciated all the information. Be prepared to have dealers contacting you with ridiculous lowball offers.
The first words in my ad were "No dealers please" You'll spot the dealer by their first contact. They'll always offer a "quick sale" or a mention they have the cash. The person that ended up buying my car didn't mention money at all. He was fine with the dollar figure but wanted to know leak down numbers etc. That's the person you're looking for.

Assuming a porsche, this site, excellence, PANORAMA, any enthusiast forum really - the more local the better so people can come see it and not be surprised and cause problems later...

I'm done with the BaTs of the world for buying and selling - and their reserve system also, plus their total lack of financial protection for the transaction. If someone offered that - middleman service post auction to secure the transaction - it may be worth it, but no - you cease to exist to them... I recently contacted 2 "brokers" of sorts (one a big local name with tons of cool cars) in the end they were gonna charge me $350 PPO +
$300 storage/mo + $300 picture fees and.....list it on BAT for me - O thank you ! ;- ) LOL, for fees + 10% commission - which is a little high for guaranteeing payment. I laughed (after the fact) and said no thank you. Ended up keeping the car but if I put it up again it'll be Pano and Pelican only.
