My understanding is that vaccines are composed of the WBC-type immunity fluids of some other persons or animal usually.

I think the vaccine is grown in eggs. That's why they ask you if you are allergic to chicken egg protein before you get the shot.

Had another covid test on Wednesday and it was negative. I have the flu. How the hell can I get the flu 2 times in one year, when I got it 2 times in 20 years!

Did you have the flu shot this year Bryan?

My wife and I both got the flu shot yesterday. The Publix Market pharmacy gives each a $10. gift card for groceries, which we of course used immediately. So free shot + $10. - what a country!

No, I did not. Was waiting for the vaccine and I come down with it again.

I’ve gotten it every year and haven’t gotten the flu since I was maybe 8 or 9. Maybe coincidence and maybe not but hey...

Yes, this year more than ever. I get it every year but with the current state of things if more folks got the flu shot we would see fewer folks who later come down with "normal flu" who panic and think they have COVID and tax the medical systems testing stream by runnig to the doctor.

For those who say "not me" maybe its time to suck it up for the greater good. If the shot scares you maybe the administrator will give you a lolipop afterwards :)

What a silly thing to say JR

That has not been my experience at all. The only times I have been sick in the last 40 years that could not be readily attributed to food poisoning it was immediately after getting a flu shot. I was very sick. both times I got the flu shot. Probably a coincidence right, the flu shot can't make you sick

All but Tobra.

Go back and read Rika's post, no need to apologize.

Also, flu shot is not a money maker for anyone but the people who manufacture the vaccine. Break even or lose a little bit of dough.

A company that I invested in (IBIO) has what they call FastPharming where they use tobacco leaves as a base instead of eggs, that takes a fraction of the time to produce the final product.

Got mine Tuesday, my Pulmonologist would schedule a beating if I didn’t.

Flu shot and Covid test this past Tuesday. Covid results on Wednesday - negative.

i'm pullling off the smiley face bandaide as i type.

i got mine a few days ago. just realized i still have the bandaide on..i think the Bleeding has stopped by now.

pure pandemonium. it was a drive up affair..they had cars pull up behind each other. they only had room for 3 cars. they had SIX injection tables with a team. needlesstosay, it was retarded. if the team in front finished..great..all three cars moved on. if the team in back was faster, then the car had to wait until the front cars finished before we moved on.

i got out of my car. super funny..i have this obnoxious ENGINEER t-shirt on. they told me to get back in my car..i said, "First - you need to move the tables out into 3 rows. maybe even six!" that way, have your injection team isnt standing around, and you can move cars out as you finish." the head manager person looked like i just gave him a happy ending.. i jumped back in my truck and motored on vaccinated. my work was done here.. i saw them moving tables.
