OK CJ we'll load with blanks!
Oh, to be 30 again!
My political philosopy?
I'll either vote according to the issues that are important to ME, otherwise I'll vote for the cute one! In a world of slimy politicians it's as good a way as any to select a candidate;)

Milu, after some of your cracks in this post I expect you to arrive with cappucino and brioche and I want to be taken out to lunch!!!

Milu 04-24-2003 05:19 AM

Tabs,

In addition to your onerous duties as head of secret police and DBOI we must also charge you to head the Supreme Holy Congregation of the Holy Office of the Universal Inquisition and get to the bottom of Mr Fusco's actions and beliefs. ;)

Those pictures of me and Jenna Bush were doctored... yeah, that's the ticket... they were originallly of me and Jessica Simpson, but they superimposed her...

I think deTocqueville pretty much covered the impossibility of pure democracry vis-a-vis higher-form socialism existing in today's society because Utopia was unobtainable. Things were already in place to lead to an exploitation of the masses, so hence his vision was a pipe dream, to which he pretty much admitted.

CJ - woo Isabel with passages from DH Lawrence, particularly "Lady Chatterley's Lover" and I guarantee she'll load the Kalishnikovs with blanks.

As far as education goes - I think we're caught between a rock and a hard place: the public schools are obviously not up to snuff, which makes the private schools a necessary evil. However, because parents are used to excepting less (L.A. schools have been in a talespin since Prop. 13 passed, which was '77, I think, and thus the kids then are now having their own kids, making sub-par public school education almost "learned" or expected), the private schools are also delivering less. It's a horrible Catch 22, at least here in L.A.

Teachers are between a rock and a hard place.......on one hand they have to put up with someones rotten monster......and their even more rotten parents complaing why don't you like my little Johnny when he doesn't do his work and continually disrupts the class and the administrative bureaucracy..that mandates some pretty stupid supposed to make you learn philosophies...... It's no wonder that so many of them burn out.....
