OK Exchange Gurus
I have to setup some shared calendars for scheduling the use of iPads and we need to color code the different types of events. Originally I thought I would just use conditional formatting but that does not get shared with others viewing the calendar.
What ever the solution is, I need it to be automatic on the Exchange server or Outlook so the calendar "owner" doesn't have to do anything. Would these calendars be better as a resource to be able to have the colors show up automatically?

What you're wanting to do is controlled in the calendar client or in Outlook, not by the Exchange server (or Office 365 service).

Yes, but the calendar does not send the color coding to the people you are sharing it with if you try to automate the procedure. That is why I was wondering if it needs to be a resource instead of a mailbox.

You just explained it. That functionality does not exist on the server-side. It is controlled by the client, only.

So there is no way for the client to send the color coding to the person they are sharing the calendar with?
