Indians, Redskins and the Vikings. All three are named after an ethnic branch of the human race. The least offensive depiction/description changes their name (Redskins) The Indians with the worst character (Chief Wahoo) hasn't and the Vikings depict a Nordic warrior wearing a horned helmet.

Vikings rarely if ever wore horns on their helmets. I am officially offended since I am 1/10 Scandinavian on my cousins side five times removed.

Well, I'm 25% Swedish, so thanks for pointing that out. I hadn't realized until now that I'm offended.

Now that you're offended, you need to get to work on making sure others are as outraged as you and then bring greater public awareness to the "issue"

On the NFL front, Pacman Jones said that I'm not allowed to cheer for the Bengals in the Super Bowl because I'm a Steelers fan. Now what the hell am I supposed to do? Oh that's right, I'll ignore the fool.

The Cleveland Indians officially became the "Guardians" in November of 2021.

Atlanta is the last hold out as far as I know. Not sure if they will ever change though.

Joe Bob 02-03-2022 01:29 PM

Never heard that...minor league team....

cabmandone 02-03-2022 02:19 PM

Yeah... "Guardians" of the bottom of the AL

venue of SB

I always thought the Super Bowl should be played at the stadium of the previous year's winner. Of course, I'm sure there's a lot of money passed around when determining where to play the big game.

That would tend to establish and maintain a dynasty. NFL hates dynasties. So do all the teams not being dynasties.

I swear, the Steelers have been tied to every QB available in free agency and the draft.

A 6’6” 341 lb dude ran a 4.78 40 at this years combo.

This is why i like American Football. The athleticism.

Could you imagine getting hit by that dude when he’s coming at you full tilt?

I heard the Steelers are interested in signing him.. Also heard they've been in contact with Adam Sandler to take over the Gatorade duties on the sideline.

The worst part of the Steelers having so many holes to fill is all the speculation about what they're gonna do. I swear if it's an offensive lineman... he's a target of the Steelers! Defensive back... target of the Steelers! Quarterback... you guessed it. It's almost like the people who write this stuff don't know the Steelers organization rarely ever makes a splash in free agency. Right now I'm having a hard time thinking of the last big name free agent the Steelers brought in.

They're gonna pay him a bunch of money to not win a Super Bowl again next season! Jordan has to be wondering where is the Love?

cabmandone 03-08-2022 12:48 PM

And Denver gave away the farm for Russel Wilson

On the plus side, that's two QB's who will no longer be mentioned as possibly going to Pittsburgh!

I sure wish my Steelers had spent that much money on a QB that hasn't played in a Super Bowl since 2011. I know those MVP awards would sure make me feel better though!

rfuerst911sc 03-08-2022 03:07 PM

I know it's a free market but no one is worth 50 mil a year . You're one injury away from sitting in the stands . Oh well good for him .

Felt I needed to post this because of the headline. The reporter must have a grudge.:D

It's been fixed since I posted. The original post was 'Alex Analzone.'
