Today we spent another two hours in the yard cleaning up debris. The worst spot was the corner of the yard where the neighbors lace bark elm dropped a lot LARGE limbs into our yard. The limbs with green leaves and loaded with seeds are super heavy. We just filled up one roll around trash bin with nothing but leaves and seeds. There is still ice where the leaves and shade have protected the area. You can see some thick ice on the well cover. We wanted to get the leaves off the grass so it had a chance to survive. Once it drys out some more I will mow it and clean it up more.

The neighborhood association hires a guy to mow and maintain the common areas. He is going to return and get the rest of the limbs that are too big for me and all the crap in the common areas. Then he will return to cut down the Bradford pear tree that too damaged to survive as a healthy tree.

He said he would have to return to do our tree work as he has customers with trees IN the house, and other customers that the power company says the trees have to be removed before they restore power. So I guess I can wait. No emergency at all for us.
