I don’t think that move would work against a D1 wrestler that Hall did. Very telegraphed. It would work against me but I’m D50. But being proficient in a lot of skills is a skill. Not everyone can do that. I can certainly appreciate their abilities. I hardly watch but do respect their balls. I wouldn’t do it. Back to the fight. Love Jones but I think with his diminished skills, this could get ugly. I hope I’m wrong. Tyson will be throwing haymakers Jones just won’t be able to duck and move. 20 years ago, and if the same weight Jones kills him. He was that good IMO.

I would say that some of the MMA guys have amazing skills including world-class wrestling or grappling skills...there are some former champion wrestlers in that sport. Some are also amazing street fighters but you'll never see a great boxer, that is a skill set that takes years of discipline and training + natural talent.

While rare, for the reason that Rod pointed out above, there are some great boxers in MMA; such as Holly Holm (very successful boxer turned very successful MMA fighter).
