our dog Lizzy is trained to close a door after she opens it and walks through.

Ha! That reminds me of our Springer Spaniel, Bristol, that had a dog door into the walk-out basement.
The only problem was...nobody could tell when she entered the basement to let her into the rest of the house.
So..I wired a pressure switch that she crossed over to a buzzer upstairs.

It didn't take long for her to learn that by just standing on the switch someone would come for her.
Dogs are smart.

Good to know. Our new BC boy gets car sick. The old girl is bullet proof and can be in the truck for longer than I can.

Pepper would climb up in my son's old play structure to watch people in the alley behind the house. She is a ball retrieving and finding machine.

Not sure what Russ's talent will be yet.

Our Bailey thinks everything is a ball. Cars included and that’s the next thing to try to overcome.

Reuben (black and tan male) and Reese (long hair) as you can see are poorly treated. My wife almost has rooms for her legs in the recliner.

It has become quite the game recently.... Moka chases deer ... I chase her .... it's just a blast .

For training... I throw a tennis ball ... "THE one", deep into the woods or hide it, etc. She's just a natural and we both nose it

I have never been a "small dog person", but my daughter has always wanted a Pomeranian, and with covid like so many others we got one.

I have never been so smitten with an animal in my life. He is the most joy filled creature I have ever met. I turn into a complete idiot when he is around.

My dog Noah is so smart, knows when Lassie comes on. Watches whole thing, plays along with the story.

We've had this rescue dog for about 9 months. He was an abused run away. If he sees a stick or news paper in your hand he cowers. Breaks your heart but he's spoiled rotten now and went from hell to heaven. My wife named him Cooper and I call him Pooper. We all do what we're good at.

My dog Roxy loved to play ball. She would come up with ways to get my attention so I would play. She would take her ball to the top of the stairs and push it off so it would make noise. I would come to the bottom of the stairs, and she would be at the top looking at me, wagging her tail, waiting for me to throw it back. Once I came out of the bathroom and she had placed her ball in front of the door. she was crouched a few feet away waiting to pounce the moment I touched the ball. She was a terrier/poodle mix, and smart as a whip.

I really miss that girl.

Arlo chased every squirrel he ever saw & never caught one, but never gave up. Otherwise, he was pretty much baffled by the world around him.
