We don't get below, or much below freezing normally. Today the high is 30º. The low this morning was 15º.

My back yard birds were demanding that I do something about their frozen birdbath. They were tired of ice skating so I poured a pot of hot water on it. It had about froze over again in an hour.

Here's our scene currently of winter taken a few minutes ago. It's gotten down into the twenties a couple of times at night lately. Today is mid 60s with 70s coming up ovet the weekend. I feel bad for the rest of the country & hope they get through this safely.

Siiiiiiht, that's what retirement life is like? Nice RV. I need to do this soon, both retire and small RV to see the east coast.

The RV is nice but I highly recommend retirement!

^^^^^^ Looks like a Currier & Ives print!

Taken in Mammoth 12 years ago. We wanted a "White Christmas" and got 10 feet of snow from Wednesday to Sunday...

During the ice storm a couple of days ago, it was necessary to switch out the feeders every couple of hours because the nectar would freeze. This little fella was never more than a couple of feet from this perch, no matter how close I got to him. He was probably in cold weather torpor, and it was really interesting to see how his feathers were puffed up for extra insulation.
