That picture of your parents is so cool, I have a nice pic of my parents touring the Grand Canyon with their Airstream TT group at 78 years old, they traveled 5000 miles that Summer.

Mom and Dad - both WWII Navy vets. Dad passed away in '67 from brain cancer. He was only 48 years old.

This is great!

We lost my MIL to Alzheimer's this past summer age 83. And my father aged 77 back in 2017.

Very thankful to still have my FIL aged 87 and my mother aged 78. Both still going strong. Thankful for every day with them and miss the other two horribly.

Your Dad doing a little Charles Atlas pose! Love it.

Aumsville caught my eye, Eric.

My family settled there in the 1850s. A number of my ancestors are interred at the Ausmville Cemetary, and several years ago my wife and I secured the final two family-row plots at Providence Cemetary (about 15 miles due south) where a similar number lay at rest.

Notwithstanding the gray, I dearly love and miss that part of the valley.

Wowzers! 1850's. Would have been wild back then!

Norm K 02-04-2021 04:16 PM

When my granddad sold the family farm in Aumsville, the contract stipulated that his three sons would have hunting rights on the property for the rest of their lives. The stipulation was written to carry forward to any future owners or their assigns. Those rights ended at 0700 on Thanksgiving in 2012 when my dad, the oldest of the three brothers, passed.

That is awesome. We all hope to be lucky enough to live that long and still active. AMAZING!

Cheers

Amazing! Mom will be 91 on Monday, but she is most definitely not active, unlike your parents.

So many great photos of parents. Great that your parents are still active at 86 and 92. That keeps them young. Lost my dad 3 years ago. Mom keeps going on her own. We took her on a long road trip last winter to Calgary along with my family. She made the trip just fine. We even spent Christmas lunch in a gas station in Pocatello. It was the only thing that was open, unlike things back home in LA where a meal can easily can be had.

My parents in 1939. My mom has been gone since 2010 (89), my dad since 1992 (72).

Nice photo and good looking couple, Marv!

Couldn't help but think that people were a lot more normal back then too!

So nice to see parent pics.
Miss mine.
