Every time a thread pops up about Tiger, the haters pile on. Same guys, every time.
Best golfer ever, yet flawed as a human being, like we all are. His flaws are maybe different than our flaws, yet no more worthy of disdain than ours. It gets old but it will never stop. That's human nature and humans often suck. |
We agree. ^^^

I read an article about Tiger a year or so ago. His father really screwed him up and then he screwed up his own life and I don't mean this little head thinking for his big head. He somehow got involved in military training and got in way over his head and injured his back which kept him out of golf for awhile. He has issues that the general public is unaware of.

One example.....often while traveling for tournaments as a junior, it would only be Tiger and Earl. Mom stayed at home. Earl would leave Tiger in the room at night to go out drinking and hooking up with some strange. For the entire weekend Tiger would see some new woman (women) hanging on his dad at the driving range while warming up. The other kids would ask him.....Who's that with your dad? Don't know...haven't met her; would be Tiger's answer. Come Sunday night, they would return home Earl would kiss Mom and go have drinks in front of the TV. No big deal to a 12-16 year old, right? |

As for being the greatest ever: unless one of them can get in a time machine and employ the equipment and training regimen from the other's era, the debate between Woods and Nicklaus will understandably continue. _ |
I watched both of their careers. Jack was great, no question. In my estimation, Tiger was better. Tiger had to deal with more injury and more fame, both of which hampered him.
It's like Schumacher vs. Senna. I'd bet on Senna. And I'd take Senna over anybody that came before him. Opinions... |
Jack Nicklaus thinks that Tiger is the GOAT, fwiw.

Back to the accident.
I woukd think that a guy with Tiger’s strength would be capable of breaking his own keg, with just the Force used on the brake pedal, in a futile attempt to stop My bet is left leg. |

Tiger Woods at one time had the highest gross income of any athlete. We talk on and on about how many millions are paid to 50 guys playing shortstop and no one except a real dedicated fan of baseball could name 10 of them. Why talk about Dale Earnhardt's plane crash that he and his family walked away from? Because it is interesting to many that anything can happen to the rich and famous that can happen to us at any time, BTW, that section of Hawthorne Blvd has a rep for being a dangerous road with many big time crashes affecting all kinds of normal folks, not necessarily racers or speeders. It's a steep incline and going downhill speeds pick up easily if you don't use and moderate your brakes. A little bit of inattention and you're in deep siht. If no one said it so far, TW was on his way to another golf course near where he was staying. Well, 20 minutes near, but if you knew those roads it was a short hop as the crow flies. They were going to do a shoot for some on the order of Sport Illustrated, but I have no information on who was actually producing the shoot. |
