It's original purpose; I wouldn't have a clue.

I wouldn't even let my dawg lay down on that nasty thing :D

That's a hell of a score Baz - a cheap motel headboard. Hopefully the only body fluids on it are hair oil. It would probably make good kindling for a bonfire.

How big is it? Maybe someone made their own bunkie board?

Umm, come to think of it. I think you're right.

Florida Casting Couch.

OK - a possibility I discovered the use of this item - as mentioned in Post #1.

The couch I brought home today has a fold out bed in it. When you remove the cushions to fold out the bed, there's a flat piece of thin wood covered in fabric just laying there. To be removed before opening the bed. I guess it serves as a 'platform' to support the cushions. Anyhoo....when I picked it up it reminded me of the piece I started this thread about......here it is......

Not sure but whatever you do don’t shine a UV light on it….

My concern with some of the stuff that you pick up would be things like bed bugs.

My guess on the original post is headboard.

I've never seen a flat board under the cushions of a fold out bed. I feel like that may have been a mod made by a previous owner.

You been hanging on to this thing for a year and a half?
Maybe check the minimalist thread? :D

Is the plywood 3/4?
It looks like the bottom pad for a seat, as stated before.
If it is a headboard, it sure is ugly.

Of course, it is ugly whatever it is.

Jackson Pollock paintings are very valuable.

I would use it as trash can filler.

Jackson Pollock - Date of death 8/11/1956
Robert C Kontak - Date of birth 8/12/1956

If you observed any of the cluttered flat surfaces in my garages across 50 years of wrenching you would know his spirit is now in me.

Side note: the "Love" decal on the back window from Baz's original post is from a well known print. My aunt had one of the original 250 prints from 67. She died in 2009 and her son sold it for $30k and bought old (60's) mopars with it.

^^^ That's pretty cool...my older brother was born on the same day as McCartney. Some say he bears a resemblance to him.
