Got a GREAT gift last weekend!
My late daughter's widow came over last Saturday with a bunch of things to help us with out "growing" operations since it has been many years since we grew anything but weeds! After bringing in all sorts of stuff he said wait a minute and went back to the car. He came in with a rifle which he said was his grandfathers and he competed and won many matches in 10 meter air rifle.
I took a look and sure enough it is a Feinwerkbau 300s side break 10 meter pellet rifle. He said it had hung on the wall for 20 years or so and it looked like it; rust spots on the exposed metal, wood stock was really dried out but really beautiful walnut. Sooooo I have proceeded to learn about the FWB300s air rifle and according to the factory it was made in December 1976. Lucky for me I got the manuals in PDF format and there are a bunch of YouTube videos on how to disassemble, repair, ETC. I wet sanded the stock and have since put on 4 coats of oil finish, disassembled the mechanics and redone the blue finish. I put it together and test fired and the rifle shoots 10s at 10 yards so I have ordered a new seal kit and will reassemble this week some time when the parts get here. As it is now the trigger breaks at 4OZ with no creep and it is way different than my Muzzle loaders! John |

Lucky you!
I've fired the FWB air pistols and they are very nice too. |
