Another "name that car" game
This one's interesting. The car is located off the side of a hiking trail about 5 miles from the nearest road, in Portola Redwoods State Park in CA. The trail follows an old logging road that's completely overgrown and eroded to a narrow track. It doesn't look like it's been passable for a long time. No 4X4 could get there now. Obviously, it was passable for at least a few years after this car rolled out of the showroom. It would have had to negotiate moderately steep inclines, and its tires were totally bald. It must have had a hell of time getting as far as it did. So... what is it?

Some of the chrome trim is in excellent shape. They don't do chrome work like that anymore.

Door pillars are right, trim is wrong, but overall shape similar? -specifically rear rain gutter over rear quarter window.
...still working on this... ![]() Last edited by LEAKYSEALS951; 03-27-2021 at 04:33 PM.. |

It may be stainless. Lots of older cars had it.

In high school, my neighbor had a '48 Pontiac Silver Streak hot rod. Did a ton of work to it, Camaro front clip, big block, chopped and glassed bumpers with an awesome black paint job. Had the Moon hubcaps with green trim rings.
Still in my mind, the coolest hot rod I've ever seen.

Definitely a '41 Buick. The little round lens at the top of the tail light was still there.
