All Our Worldly Goods

The ancient Egyptians it seems had some peculiar thoughts that they could take all the stuff they owned in this life with them to the after life. To that end the Pharaoh's stacked their tombs to the brim with all the treasures they owned. Thinking that they would need them in the after life to come. Mostly people realize that when they leave this life that they will not have any further use for all the things that they own. they will leave them behind. The Tomb robbers seemed to be this notion as they relieved the Pharaoh of all those tasty objects that were gathering dust.

Anyway after digressing I will get to the point. While I was on the phone on hold this morning I had the notion that I have all of this perfectly good stuff lying about. Tons of it actually that I just don't need. Why there are some peoples in the Sub Sahara that only have the cloths they are wearing, and couple of pots and pans in their mud huts..and they seem perfectly happy about that state of affairs. So I decided then and there to divest myself of all my worldly goods..and live the ascetic life.

The satisfaction I will have is how pissed off my greedy relatives will be when they realize that they will be following in my footsteps.

Did you mean the ascetic life?

Do you mean the dragon jeans and a bathtub full of dead men's shoes? Or the flintlocks? I'll take one of your flintlocks if you're giving them away for free.

I'll bet your house smells BAD....
