Lypoma?

Ok, lets see if any folks out there know of a tumor called lypoma. I wont go into details, but I have a bro that found out that he had lypoma and he didnt explain what it is, and how to remove it, or what meds to take to get rid of it. If anybody has a heads up on this situation, we would apprieciate it..

You mean Lipoma? It is basically just a fat tissue, nothing life-threatening. It is usually removed surgically, you cannot medicate against it.

Are those "pimples" the same as lipomas? I think I saw here pop a grossly huge one out of some poor feller...

My dog's got one. Your bro will need to avoid Stella and Chewy's frozen meat dog food.

Lipomas are very common in dogs, never saw one in a cat. Extremely easy to remove in dogs as they have an outer membrane and only a small vascular supply, so they just shell out.

I have one on my neck and if it wasn't right over my jugular vein, I'd take it out myself, since the EENT I went to wants a fortune to remove it.

Yes, a lot of them are. I was afraid of grossing everyone out by embedding a video.

Had one on my lower back. Easy in and out surgery to remove it. Just a fatty tumor. Biopsy came back clean.

According to the Cleveland Clinic: The medical community doesn't know why some people get them. 1 in 1000 people will get them. You don't need to have them removed unless they bother you.

Man up and cut it off with a pocket knife.

or sharpen a spoon on a rock

or wait and see if it gets bigger and sprouts a nipple.

I've had one on my right knee, just next to the knee-cap since I was a teen.

My father had one in the exact same place...he had his removed.
