My new Land Cruiser - Last of the 200's
After DD'ing my F350 primarily since 2012 (when I was not driving one of the fun cars) I decided it was time to get an SUV. Since I keep my non toy cars for a long time, I decided to get something that would last. My daughter starts school at the University of Kansas in the fall and not having the open bed will be a good thing for those drives.
Based on a lot of the feedback I have seen on here for the older ones, I decided on a Land Cruiser. Yes I know the refresh is a few years old and it lacks some of the newer tech stuff like Apple CarPlay etc., I was totally fine with that. This is the last year for the current model and fits me perfectly. Ignore how dirty it is, but here is my '21 LC. The only option I got was the side folding third row. I really like it and the tried and true V-8 under the hood. I am hearing rumors of the new one being a V-6 Hybrid of some sort. ![]() ![]() |

I like it!
We did the new 4Runner thing last year after 15 years in a 2003 4Runner. We looked at the LC, loved it, but my wife wanted the 4R...and I plan on keeping the 1996 LC ![]() Enjoy.

Thanks!
I really wanted to third row, as I had it in my Excursion and found them useful. |

I guess 1've never actually seen a double decker roof rack/basket before.
Probably great for preventing unnecesary entires into the garage. Otherwise, a great choice. You'll love the FJC. |

Having been a Cruiser lover forever I haven’t kept up with the newer versions.
I thought USA wasn’t getting LandCruisers anymore, we were stuck with the Lexus version. Great looking truck! |

Fantastic. I’m on my second. First was fj80. Now a 100. It’s 21 years old and solid.

LC for the win. FJ for the runner up. (But, yeah, what IS the story with that roof rack?)

I have no idea brothers! Well, actually the lower rack only uses the back portion of the roof. I guess this was added to give more room. I'll probably never use it so it will be coming off.

Mine was on there from the factory, part of the Heritage Edition dealio , it looks like it will come off easily as well.
My garage is full though with my 78 Westfaila taking the spot the LC will eventually go in. I am totally dragging my feet on selling the Westy. |

wow, what a beauty. I still want a 100. The 200 series are just too much money for me. I am super happy with my 5 gen 4 runner Limited. Gets 20 on the hwy at 75.

Can't go wrong with the Land Cruiser. The 200s may appear outwardly as just any other soccer-mom SUV, but they are still hard core off road capable. I actually thought the same thing (that Toyota was getting soft) when the 80 series came out and boy was I wrong.
I've owned four 4Runners (currently have a 2019 TRD Off Road), a 100 series and an 80. I still have the 80. After the nuclear apocalypse when the zombies are roaming the streets, the only vehicles left will be Land Cruisers. ![]() ![]()

Love it! My FJ80 is near the top of my list of cars that I miss, I will someday have another. The Heritage edition is quite nice, they did well with the retro touches without going overboard.
