I finally found a GOOD use for a Craftsman ReFlex wrench

Propane tank hose. Can't get a socket or closed end wrench to work there, so it's place open end wrench on nut, turn over and over. Rinse and repeat many times. This rascal actually does work with a ratcheting movement. I never ever buy into 'convenience' tools but this one happened to show up somewhere, sometime, somehow and I couldn't throw it away. It just didn't seem junky enough for that. Well, it isn't after all. It lives under the propane grill now. |
so, it now has only a single use?

Doesn't it just feel good when you have that one *useless tool that just does the oddball job?
Park it under the grill, but remember its there just in case you find another application. |
Never seen that wrench though.
Spring loaded? Ratcheting adjustable? |
I acquired this one somehow.
Too well built to throw away, but when could I ever use it? Vice grip and adjustable had a bastage love child? Who gets paid to think of this stuff? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1618016025.jpg |
Try not to bruise it.

I have never seen one of those either, Id like the metric version ! I never throw out tools, ever you just never know.

Useless tools become a life saver at some point. I bought a dremel with a flexible shaft extension because I always wanted one when I did car modeling 50 years ago. It sat there in my tool box all pretty and new and I thought "why did I buy this?". Then one day I needed to cut off a bolt in a really tight spot and suddenly that dremel with a cutoff wheel saved the day.
More tools, guns, or ammo is never a bad idea. |
Think I have an earlier version or just a "Channelock" version. It's a bit rusted, I mostly use it for PVC fittings. It has soft jaws, like a Bird Dog. Grips just enough.
