Damn good working jeans too. The knees weren't even worn through yet.

Put the welding blanket next to the welder, maybe next time I'll actually use it.

Okay Linus :D

I’ve given myself a couple of hot foots, when the hot metal got in my topsides. They make nice little holes in your skin and take months to heal.

Those are the ones that make me promised myself I will never weld in sandals again. Until the next time.

Weldors never wear lace boots either. Of they have extended chaps. Of course TIG welding is much less dramatic that it invites very casual wear, like tee shirt and shorts. Then you notice the UV burns on your arms that night.

Cancer tan is what I call it.

Speaking of white, it reflects more rays than colors.

You haven't lived until you get hot spatter in your ear when welding underneath something.

Not welding, but a few years ago my cousin let my daughter use his blind while deer hunting. After a while I looked over at her and told her her leg was on fire. Her words were "Dang it, it was just getting warm enough"

A few years ago I was welding something (a bracket, something I can't remember)

What I do remember is my shirt caught on fire..

I had on a Shammy shirt (Chamois shirt)... and the fuzzy layer basically flashed... not sure how to describe it, Best I can figure I got some spatter on me..

I wasn't enough to start the fabric burning.. My gesticulations when I though I had a lil fire, gave the ember enough O2, and the fuzz flashed over..

It was weird
