Navy seeing UFO’s all the time.
A pentagon report coming soon saying they are real but not understood. So if they are real, how do you think it will affect religion? If the objects are not from this world, it could cause panic! They are not in genesis!!! Interesting to think about. It is also interesting that the navy has seen so many of these things. Pilots say the UFO’s are doing things just not possible with our technology.

What a time to be alive! :)
"So if they are real, how do you think it will affect religion?" Don't know and don't care. Organised religion has been on the decline for decades. - I doubt the confirmation of aliens would have any effect. |
All your base are belong to us.

I'm personally hoping for a "Childhood's End" scenario.
I like to think that Satan gives us religion to keep us from God. |
Hi ho Hi ho off to parf we go....
Religion will adapt like it always has. I'd bet for the near term, it won't even have to, and I'd also say, in many ways, it already has. Many religions have reconciled their idea of Genesis/creation in coexistence with previous heretical ideas like a round earth, earth not center of universe, and an older than 8000 years old earth. Even if gov't acknowledges significant UFO (edit-meaning alien) activity, it's just one more notch in the bedpost of discovery. Genesis+Round Earth+Earth older than 8000 years+We are not the center of the universe + UFOs. There will always be fundamentalist minorities who will construct ever more elaborate arguments to current day belief (Think flat earther's claiming all pictures of round planets a NASA conspiracy using photoshop). In the end, I bet there will be some brief media sensationalism, and then everything back to normal. Until E.T. shows up on good morning America, or shoots death rays at Tom Cruise (a good thing), no big changes. Even if E.T. shows up on GMA, I still have to go into work next week. |

Were also going to need a spokesperson to deal with these aliens.
I nominate Patrick Stewart. Not Shatner. |
Jeri Ryan. Only if she wears the Seven of Nine bodysuit.

Not too long ago professional pilots would never admit to seeing these things as people would start looking funny at you. Now technology makes it hard to ignore these things.
As far as affecting religion, it is easy for believers to expand God to creating other worlds and beings as well as on Earth. |

How does that play to UFO's. UFO = Unidentified Flying Object I have no idea what those objects are, if they are from a different world, or if they belong to different beings. I just don't know. Our physics knowledge has known contradictions. |
Ancient aliens are/were our gods.

The bible does make mention of this as well, depends which version you are reading and which books you choose to include. https://www.stevequayle.com/index.php?s=30 http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1622354658.jpg Not "The Grays" and not little green men, the offspring of angels were giants, aggressive giants. God had enough of the crossbreeding and wanted to cleanse the bloodlines, hence ensued the Great Flood. |
I don’t see any way in which they are connected.
|
If the UFO’s are from 500 thousand light years away and are 200,000 years ahead of us in technology, I wonder if they have their own god, maybe they created us??? Of know how we were created. Now that would toss religion for a loop!

I think Christian churches around the world will really freak! Especially the Catholic Church. Will be a fun ride!!!
|
How come only our Navy sees this stuff, and not the Air Force and Army, too?
|
Because navy pilots don’t think about woman all the time? They can focus on what’s out there more?
