Today is the 22nd anniversary of my wife and I saying "I do". September will be 29 years that we've been together.

Not bad for a couple who thought they were getting into a one night stand....

Congrats. I always blows me away to thing I met my wife 30 years ago and talked her into marrying me 29 years ago. Best decision I ever made.

I'm familiar with "the black sheep of the family," but this is the first time that I've seen "the black dog of the family."

Some 35 years ago a friend asked me to call a young lady he knew, who had just broken up with another friend of his. "Take her out and try to cheer her up a bit." We've been together ever since.

We were laughing the other day that the minister refused us permission to marry in the
church because I was not available for counseling and the songs I played were "not to the glorification of God".
I guess we did okay anyway.

Congrats. You're just slightly behind us. Jan was 22 years for us. We eloped in a court house in Columbus, GA just 10 months after meeting and didn't tell anyone until it was done. It's been a wonderful 22 years; best thing I ever did.

...sort of. For fifty years I have dreamed of a successful lifetime relationship, through several failed attempts. I resigned myself to solitude, convinced it would not happen for me. Then, five years ago, there she was. Couldn't be happier.

June 27...it'll be 46 years since we said the "I do" while dressed in Jeans & T shirts, standing in the Reno courthouse.

No big celebration planned...maybe out to dinner or something.
