Antique bicycle value question
Here in Japan my mother in law has an antique shop...
A long time ago she came into possession of this old bicycle. Pictures I took of it: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1625098684.JPG http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1625098684.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1625098684.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1625098684.jpg I'd like to help her sell it/get it out of my garage... But I can't find much info about value. I'm thinking its probably only worth $500 or less. Here is one link to something similar which has a lot of documentation on the maker: https://onlinebicyclemuseum.co.uk/1910s1920s-american-national-tiller-treadle-tricycle/ It's in really good shape considering it's over a 100 years old. I think it's all original. What would you do with it? |
Cool antique,but $100 as a garden ornament.

Gendron Pioneer tricycle (per google pictures). It's a little girl's bike (however they had different sizes).
Gendron was a company in Toledo, OH that made wheels circa 1900 FWIW https://onlinebicyclemuseum.co.uk/1910s1920s-american-national-tiller-treadle-tricycle/ I agree with $100 for a conversation piece. |
I’m sure Byron will trade you something for it.

Turn of the century bicycles can bring a bigger price than you might think. Mike Wolf from the tv show American Pickers is a big bike collector and could most likely tell you all about it including the current value. Neat old trike!
