It seems she’s been in the news daily…for several weeks now. Nothing of substance, yet somehow newsworthy. Issues with dad, lawyers, sister.

I don’t get it. Out of nowhere she’s a daily news story. About the only news item less valuable or interesting might be the royal family.

Rant over.

It seems her dad has been ripping her off for some time as well as making it so she can’t reproduce.

I was forced to watch the "Free Britney" story on Hulu. There is some serious stuff going on with her. No doubt. Same old story, she makes a huge amount of money and everyone wants some. Family, lawyers, hangers-ons.

How many forty year olds are not allowed to live their own life?

Probably more than we know.

The problem seems to be once you are ruled by a count that you can't manage on your own how do you ever convince the court you can? You have no voice.

I have no idea if she's competent. But the vast majority of people in the USA that are incompetent aren't under their father's thumb.

It's in the news because something seems to be 'off' with the situation.

I think in her case she will have to rely on the new lawyer and mental health evaluations . She had a mental meltdown broadcast nationally , now she has to prove she's stable . At least that is my understanding .

I can't imagine being almost 40 , have a net worth of 60 million dollars and have to ask daddy for her own money . I think the entire family has mental issues ......... we are a product of our surroundings of our youth . Yes she's monetarily rich but the rest of her life to date is a train wreck .

Should be a flavor of ice cream at Baskin Robbins .

Seems odd she's competent enough to generate $130M in revenue from her Las Vegas stint alone, yet can't control her finances or anything on her own. She's under the control of a conservatorship that appears Draconian and has brought to light the whole conservatorship thing, which needs an overhaul. I don't think she even knew she could choose her own attorney or request the conservatorship be dissolved, which I'm sure it will. Her father may very well be found to not have been acting as a fiduciary with her best interest in mind as well. I feel bad for her and it will be interesting to see how this all works out.

All she needs to do is convince the court that every party pays their own legal costs out of their own pockets and not hers, and her conservatorship will evaporate overnight.

i heard about her new issues. sucks.

she is a cash cow and everybody wants to control her money. they wouldnt give a flying eff is she was poor. they wouldnt run her dynasty for free.

Almost as mind numbing boring as the Cartrashian's saga of nothingness. IDGaF in other woids....

it's different from some unreality show about kardasians. the fact that a rich ass citizen can get locked out of her own life with no deadline in sight.

yea i get it she had a meltdown. so to protect her from getting milked by a bunch of grifters, they put her in charge of a bunch of grifters...what? okay. i get it. but shouldnt someone step in and REEVALUATE? she could have healed her mind.

i only have a passing interest because if it happened to her, it could happen to anyone.

everyone just hates on her because she is rich as ****, with debatable talent. but whatever, i would do the same thing if i could pull it off.

She’s gorgeous.

But she had better stay off Twitter-chap or whatever. She’s a loon. A gorgeous loon. I could probably cure her of all ailments. She does need supervision; conservatorship is a bit much. Her problem is impulsivity which can wreck somebody pretty quick.

Did I mention she’s gorgeous?

Also cray-cray. Which makes her even more gorgeous. She’s definitely way up in the upper right quadrant.
