The Green Knight

Watch the trailer. Looks great, doesn't it. Or at least something that could be great. Or maybe just good. I would have settled for good.

If you are looking for a movie with no actual plot, as in none, and characters you couldn't give a F about, all shot beautifully on location, I imaging in Scotland, with a great score, but again, no plot and you sort of hoped a character or two, or all of them would die so you wouldn't have to see them anymore and you could go home, all wrapped in a surreal patchwork blanket of regret and despair, including a talking fox that was completely unnecessary, then this movie was made for you. LSD couldn't make this movie better.

It was one of the few movies I ever wanted to get up and leave half way through. Really should have.

But the cinematography was great.

Dude, you watch a lot of movies.

The reviews are mostly excellent, which is why I saw it. It tells a story in a completely different way, so you have to embrace it. Odd and like a dream, with magic as normal. I liked it, but not a lot. Wonderful cinematography, for sure.

I saw it Sunday night, and the absolute worst movie I have seen in a long time.

What sucked is that it potentially could have been great, if not for the weird sick stuff, the ridiculous occurances, the lack of a better explanation for the ending,, as the costumes, settings were good. It was, slow as hell too!

This movie sucks!! Absolutely sucks! I wasted $6, there were only two other people in the theatre at the 9pm show, and they vocalize their dislike, as they passed us.

They could have killed him, but have him refuse the conclusion of dying, then start the weird hallucinations on a journey back that wasn't happening.

Don't have a TV. Great to get out, have dinner with a friend and catch a movie with dessert after. I can't imagine owning a TV though there was one day last year where I actually understood how people lie on the couch and click through channels. NyQuil solved that.

I just looked at the Rotten Tomatoes reviews. I've found that if critics love a movie and 60% or less of audience hate it, I'm probably going with the audience. But you have to read both reviews. For The Green Knight, clearly the reviewers were paid off either with promises of future access (or denial for a bad review) or whatever. But the reviews are off the charts ridiculous for this movie. I have a real need to call up Marianna Neal and ask her what she was promised.

I saw an article about the movie the other day, but hadn't read the article.

The trailer looks interesting. Wow, it's great to see Groot taking on more serious roles.

It's too bad so many folks didn't like it. If it ever comes out on video, and is really cheap, I may watch it out of curiosity.

Worst movie ever? It can't be worse than "Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever." I like Antonio Banderas. I like Lucy Liu. I figured this movie would be decent. Nope, worst ever. 19% audience score at Rotten Tomato.

My bad movie intuition generally protects me from seeing trash, this really terrible one got my intuition!

Dev Patel, the main character, stars in The Wedding Guest as well. It is about a Jason Bourne type that rescues women from arranged marriages in India/Pakistan. Pretty good film.

In Destin, Florida, back in the 70s, there was a lounge called "The Green Knight" and it had a very large statue of a green knight that stood out in front by hwy 98. That big ol green knight was a landmark back in the day. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a651d4f8cb.jpg
