Two different tests say it’s Covid.

Just asking. Is it confirmed?

Edit: OK - I see your post.

He’s actually my great nephew but that makes me sound old.

The weird thing is that his twin sister who is in the same class and house obviously has not tested positive yet.

Everybody doing okay?

upsscott 10-27-2021 03:45 PM

My great nephew is running a fever but has not developed a cough. Just achy and tired. My niece has only a bad headache so far. I’m sure they’ll be fine but who knows.

ICU beds per 1000 people range from approx 1.5 to 4.5 by state. Those numbers don't change much. Hospitals get overrun and mortality goes way up.

But they pretty much don't die from it (rare cases).

Are they getting any treatment? Monoclonal antibodies? Might help them nip it in the bud if the insurance will cover it.

I'm out of town so I'm not sure how they're treating it. My niece is supposed to pick me up at the airport on Sunday, I'm sure I will be making alternate plans.

Almost 7 billion vax doses over the last 11 months and cases levels have surged, deaths have surged.

If these "vaccines" are so great why have we not been seeing a DRAMATIC decrease in case levels and deaths?

IOW, just how are vaccines moving the needle? (other than back into people's arms)

upsscott 11-19-2021 03:29 AM

What’s the percentage of vaccinated people who succumb to Covid? I have not heard one expert say that the vaccine eradicates Covid, only that it reduces the chances and seems to prevent serious symptoms. So, is the problem the vaccinated or the unvaccinated?

javadog 11-19-2021 03:47 AM

I ran across this data for the state of Illinois, no idea how it compares nationwide, but the statistics are pretty detailed:

Nick is moving this thread because it's little more than trolling at this point.

javadog 11-19-2021 03:51 AM

Well then, you should quit trolling.

In Illinois, about 35% of the deaths are vaccinated, in a state where 73% of the adult population is vaccinated. So it looks like the vaccinated are maybe dying at about half the rate of the unvaccinated, give or take.
