Car Virus
Thought Experiment:
An asteroid crashed on Earth and released a car virus that destroyed not just 911s but every other Porsche - none are left and no more will ever be built. But you have plenty o'bucks and can buy any other car ever made, drive it, hotrod it, repair it, etc. Plenty of parts are available for all non-Porsches. What do you get? |

What would I get that’s not a Porsche? E39 M5. Maybe an unmolested E36 if I could find one. An RS4. If I had more money maybe an RS3, though I’d probably be ok with a Golf R… if I had more money, an R8, though used ones have come down. With even more money, a non-Gallardo Lamborghini. Ok fine, a Ferrari if I could afford it.
Some of the newer MacLarens aren’t bad either but still 6 figures… |

1967 Coronet R/T 426 Hemi four speed with front disc brakes. My third car was close, a 440 auto version. Had everything but the Hemi and four speed. First car in which I ever topped an honest 130 mph, eastbound on I-90 through Issaquah, WA. We threw some 2.73 gears in the MOPAR 8 3/4" rear end for that run, otherwise I ran 4.10's.
