Does anyone make an SUV with rear glass that lifts?

Like my 2012 Honda Pilot.

All the 'old-time' SUVs used to do this. Bronco', blazier, suburbans. Sometimes I just want to throw a 10' 2x4 in and not leave the whole tailgate up or strap it to a roof rack.....

Handy feature but NLA?

We used to have an explorer that had rear glass that opened independently of the rear hatch. That's about the only downside of our Outback. You can't put something longer than the Outback in extending out the back of the car. (well, you can, but you have to have the hatch partially up which wouldn't be a big deal except that the car dings at you the entire time that you're driving.

Seems to be an option that was dumped in the 201x's.

Hoping for an 'upgrade' to the old Honda Pilot.

Looked at a 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser and the back window can be opened.

Just don't stop short.

With the Honda Pilot I can angle long trim under the passenger dash, out the back window.

BMW X5s used to, not sure about now. The same goes for Range Rovers.

Our 2015 highlander did. The ‘23 does not. I suspect they’re made good till 2018 or 19.

Btw - The newer ‘yote isn’t as good as the older.
