My first grandchild, a girl. Summer Jae born in October. I didn't grow up with grandparents, my kids didn't either. I'm excited to be one.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. |
Although we celebrated Thanksgiving up here a month ago (shorter growing season), I find myself being very thankful my MIL survived her stroke and that my wife had the least troublesome broken hip I have ever heard of. She has almost no pain and is getting back to normal. My projects aren't time sensitive, so they will be there when my spousal care duties are lessened.
Best to all of you. Les |
I am thankful for my wife and a path to health recovery.
We just talked to my son who is doing fine. I am also thankful for my job and a remarkable group of coworkers. Happy Thanksgiving to all here. |
My family and my wife in particular.

Grateful to be still alive at 75….And thankful for a wonderful wife of 43 years….

I’m thankful for having the opportunity to raise two amazing, strong young women who turned out to be better persons than I am.
I’m also thankful that my Country’s holiday isn’t a holiday for the rest of the world. I don’t find my self so self-absorbed to ask others what they are thankful for. Should I be thankful for the non European people that were sacrificed so that I can feel better for the opportunities I’ve had? Yes, I consider myself lucky, blessed but, realize that I’ve had generations of help along the way. |
I’m just here for the pie.

I'm thankful my tenant applied for Pandemic Rental Assistance. The checks arrived on Friday and covers the period from Oct 2020 to Sept 2021! Hopefully, she gets approved for Oct/Nov/Dec.

I am happy that I can do work what I l like. I work on one manufature where produce different parts to Air conditioners. Quite interesting work where actively use different tools like encoders https://eltra-encoder.eu/catalog/multiturn-absolute-optical-encoder In addition to counting and tracking information about current angular object position, it can show data about several other parameters.

Lost a brother in law and two dogs in the last year, but I am also thankful we have good heart surgeons here. You never want to hear one say to a parent "I can't believe you are alive, you are going in for triple bypass in the morning!" when they find blockage at 99%.
We have a good family, though my wife thinks we are weird. She grew up with parents that saw no reason to go to a concert or sporting event that she was in. Her mom asked her this Thanksgiving if my wife thought it strange that I liked spending time with our kids. |
