She won her class in Carrera Panamericana several years ago. Also done Peking to Paris and some other grueling stuff.

That car has been thru hell a few times.

Her and the car are badazz. Reminiscent of the old days of Porsche doing lots of endurance stuff (besides Le Mans).

stevej37 12-03-2021 11:04 AM

It looks like a blast to do something like that in Antarctica.
I hope they beefed up the heating system and defroster!

zakthor 12-03-2021 12:20 PM

Had friend that worked at the south pole. High altitude and so, so, so cold.

Might as well build a 356 for touring around on the moon, it is just about as realistic.

stevej37 12-03-2021 12:28 PM

^^^ I'm sure there will be a large support team to guide/help her through.
She will make it.

Oh yeah she will, but can't even hold the fuel for the trip.

Is just such a crock. Like a fake moon landing. Like all the tourists that climb fixed ropes to everest summit. Hey, why didn't she first drive the mordwand with some ice-axe tires? With help of a turbo?

I wish it was just a michael bay film, she's going to the south pole to get to the tunnels that lead to the center of the earth where an advanced civilization will help us defeat global warming, fights alien robots on her way using the twin gau8 s that she cleverly hid behind the headlights. Aims with skid turns.

I wish this stunt had some comedy value but i think its just pow(stupid, n).

This thread is redundant with another thread on this same topic, posted about a month ago.

^^^ sorry...I didn't search for the same.

GH85Carrera 12-03-2021 02:18 PM

She is going to be the first to drive a Porsche on all the continents.

stevej37 12-03-2021 02:23 PM

^^^ and surely the most costliest. Sponsors will make that up.
Would be great to see a 'Pelican Parts' sticker on it. :)

Racy lady, love that people do this sort of thing, it's beyond

otto_kretschmer 12-03-2021 04:02 PM

i wonder what oil she will be using in the Artic? She probably needs a heater to get the engine warm before starting.

stevej37 12-03-2021 04:10 PM

^^She probably won't need a 'cool collar' on it.

Redhead Kim Hiskey is a local legend. On track days when she was present, everyone was told to keep a continuous eye in their rear view mirror.

Heck....Jodi Fordahl was a crushing autocross driver, locally and nationally.

stevej37 12-04-2021 11:30 AM

I sure hope that when she attempts the crossing...they record video for us to watch later.
Would be nice to watch in real time...but there might not be enough cell towers.:D
