I am good friends with CF IRL - He is extremely busy and has stated he does not have time to go down the PP rabbit hole. I have mentioned threads and people from here to him IRL over beers and he laughs and just says he cannot go there right now.

Maybe he will poke back in one day, I do know, he said he is afraid to even log in due to diminished productivity once logged in. I totally understand his drift, see thread about deleting Pelican account.

He moved into my area for a short time due to a job he took, he is moving away in a couple of weeks we have set aside some time to meet for beers. Him and I have been E-friends for 20 years meeting up for Dragon Runs in the past, when that all fell apart we keep in touch on a little renegade BB that was set up after some frustrations with Wayne and him not wanting this BB to be involved with our Dragon meets. We wanted out own sub forum to organize the meets. There used to be about 12-18 of us on there, now there are 4-5.

We keep it up and running because we can poke in from time to time dump info and leave, it is not used for dragon meets anymore, just general horseplay.

Has anyone seen me lately? I hear my voice but when I look around, I'm not there.

Do a search on a random topic that takes you to an old, old thread, preferably a large one, and read the names of the posters. You will get the feeling you're on another forum.

A lot of us migrated over from the tech forum after reading the same questions and answers a couple dozen times and/or sold our cars. For a while anyway, people were somewhat familiar with the other guy because of conversations about tech.

Now it's a free for all sewer here. I've looked hard and I've tried to land somewhere else but it just doesn't seem to catch.

I talked to Lubemaster several months ago. I had a question about some turbine oil so I found his email and then got a call back from him. He was surprised to hear from a Pelican since he'd been gone so long but otherwise he seemed to be doing well.

I recall WDfifteen posting something about peeing blood. Yup. He was a pretty prolific poster and seems to have gone AWOL. Admittedly, I disagreed with him often but hate to see him leave...especially over health reasons. I need people to disagree with!

Any ideas?
