75” tv
What do you guys have/recommend? I’d like to stay under $1500. We don’t watch a ton of tv but when we do we stream from the usual sources. Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

I have a 65" Vizio. Bought it 4 years ago for $999
Now they are $500 Pic is great...has all the apps for streaming built in. |
yikes, I don't even have a wall big enough to mount that.

That’s the other decision I have to make. Whether to mount it or not. Our house is old. Built in the ‘40s so our walls are plaster. Not sure I want to take the risk of causing a crack. |
Poke around slickdeals.net, maybe save a search. Stop by Best Buy maybe to see what's up. In the Magnolia section there's usually good advice. 4K. This one is popular on slickdeals right now:

Newer big screens come with detachable legs.
Lots of choices out there for good looking stands to place it on. |

The Samsung 75" TV is a awesome TV at a great price. The quality of the picture will blow you away...
|
They are practically giving TV's away now...479 for a 65 in LG, 497 for 75 in LG.

We have a 55 inch Toshiba that was purchased in 2009. Back then they were pricey and I paid around $1700.00 at Best Buy but got a Toshiba Blu-ray player for free as part of the deal. It isn't a "smart TV" but it has a Roku hooked up to it.
I also have a 65 inch LG in my den. It is a "smart TV" and also has a Roku hooked to it. I can't remember what I paid for it but I know it was way cheaper than the other one and I think I got it at Target, it's about 2 years old. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk |

I got a Sony 60" 4K a couple of years ago. It had the most neutral color saturation- most natural. But I turned it up a bit, anyway. I've been super happy with it. You should make sure it's a smart TV. I click the remote and bring up all the active apps- Amazon, Netflix, Paramount, Apple, etc. Not all apps are on all TVs, so there's that. I didn't need an OLED, as the viewing angle is always fairly direct.
You're likely to need a sound bar. |
