Stormy weather!
From Georgia to Newfoundland, several feet of snow, high winds and rain today should make it quite a mess. No more snow, please!
We've been digging out for days, and can't seem to get ahead. |
6 inches of snow here overnight, and the real storm hasn't hit yet !
|
In NW Ohio, we were the East/West snow/No snow line about 2 miles from my house. I woke up to 1 inch of fluffy stuff on my truck, slipped the tires a bit getting going (slippery road) this morning to work. About 2-3 miles down the road, there was no trace of snow, except where it fell off of Eastbound vehicles in the road.

Pouring rain here in Boston. If it were snow, we'd have a few feet by now.
|
We lucked out this time. All the snowy weather left MI in a V. (down one side of us..up on the other side)
We ended up with three sunny days now in a row.... |
We live in Dahlonega Georgia which is in the north mountains . We received about 3-4 inches of snow yesterday but it was wet/heavy and combined with 50 mph wind gusts brought down many trees . Of course the downed trees led to power outages .
We lost power yesterday at 7:30 AM and it didn't come back on until around 2:30 in the afternoon . Temp's overnight in the high 20's . This coming weekend is predicting a similar event . Fun stuff ☹️ |
Got about 10”. Tried starting the snow blower yesterday. Was lazy and left bad gas in it last year. Gas in the oil. No way to fix now. More snow coming today. I really screwed up :o
|
We're supposed to be on the warm side of this one. Right now it is-13 C, but by this afternoon it is forecast to be +4C with rain. First day for the kids to be back in school and we got an advisory at 6:30 rhere would be early dismissal due to road conditions.
"Well they call it Stormy Monday, but Tuesday's just as bad." Best Les |
What a mess. We got 4/5 inches and then it rained. I can't move this stuff and tonights temp will be in the teens. What a mess.

….and a last of the season Ship in Port overnight http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1642428081.jpg |
Just came inside from plowing. I stand corrected, over 12" of snow over night...plus it is still falling at almost an inch per hour. The tractor almost couldn't get through it.
|
We had snow that turned into rain, and I spent some time snowblowing slush, because it will probably refreeze later on. Actually spent more time fixing a leaky tire on the snowblower, but that is another story. Dielectric grease work well to fix leaks from rusted rims :).

It snowed here in Opelika, Alabama from around 8am to 2pm Sunday and was coming down pretty good at times but it didn't really stick. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...9ff16f65bf.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...70f6d12496.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...2c40cb7bec.jpg

I guess we are due for a change in weather tonight too. Snow and back into the deepfreeze.
|
How can it be snowing everywhere?
We got around a foot last night, I guess I should leave work early and clean it. |
38 degrees here, no rain or snow expected, just a low of 28 degrees. No thank you, I grew up in Florida and don't do cold. It is a gray gloomy day and I'm glad I am off from work today for MLK, this weather makes me want to nap all day. Lol.

Cold on Thursday and Friday. Otherwise pretty boring around here WRT snow.
Half way through January. I'll take it. |
Didn't get much here about 5-6 inches. No rain to speak of.
|
Golly, snow in the north east in January, how unusual.
