I hope it finds a good home, is it weird to care about where our old cars end up?

Not weird at all. I’ve actually bought two of mine back over the years, because I did not like how they were treated after I sold them.

That looks like a good vehicle. Should be an easy sell, Toyota makes good stuff.

Wait, you guys sell your old cars!

I haven't sold a car since 1995, and I still feel bad about selling it. After 30 year with the El Camino and 26 year with the 911 I can't imagine selling either one.

I haven't sold a car since 1988 - no exaggeration. My newest current car is a 1993 Infiniti G20 with 221,000 miles on it (a gift from my brother about 6 years ago). I buy/get and I keep - must really like doing repairs, too! :)

Since 1974 I have only sold one car.
The El Camino has 375,000 miles
The 911 only 182,000 miles.
I do most of the maintenance and repairs as a hobby.
I also don’t count my wife’s cars in my totals. She does like newer cars.

I predict once you start driving that Cayenne you won't be missing the yota so much. In fact, you'll probably forget all about it!

This is usually what happens every time I get a new car.

Except for my 911 I don’t think I ever kept a vehicle more than 3 years. I’ve made a commitment to try to keep my most recent new car, forever….which is something I always say. I mean it this time though. With working from home I put only 4k miles since may. Typically I drive 4k miles per month so I’m off to a good start
